Kim is an incredible teacher. I've been a student and colleague of hers for over 3 years now and I have yet to be in a class of hers where I don't meet my physical edge and have a great time doing it. She can see possibility in a way that I've never experienced in my 20+ years of yoga practice. She's able to meet you exactly where you are and then see what you can do next (and next, and then after that...). Paired with all of her expertise and discipline is a willingness to let yoga be light. I always, always enjoy my yoga practice with Kim.

Thought I would give Kim a brief testimonial of what stretching has done for my overall well-being, flexibility and physical strength. First off, if you have only experienced her talent and knowledge for a short amount of time don’t waste your time… giving a testimonial I mean, not that she can’t help acute issues of any sort but the real benefit of her experience, knowledge, talent, and intuition come from stretching over time so here’s a bit of personal history.
I’m 67 years young in pretty good shape, eat very clean, detox frequently and use healing technologies to stay as healthy as possible and only visit a “doctor” when I need to argue with one. I played tennis professionally and skied since I was 8 years old so those two sports which I still do to this day keep me very active.
I started seeing Kim after my girlfriend brought me along to her ariel yoga class. The ariel stuff lasted three visits because the strength I thought I had didn’t help the lack of flexibility and stiffness that caused me to sit down way to many times.
So, my girlfriend suggested that maybe I should go and do a few sessions with Kim and see if that would get me up to speed to tackle the ole ariel stuff. That was the best decision I have ever made.
It has now been ONE YEAR AND SIX MONTHS of private stretching with Kim 2 times a week and the results I feel EVERY DAY. It was a slow process but with Kim’s knowledge and observations of my strengths and weaknesses and her gradual plan to free my body from decades of limited strength and flexibility has become reality.
Overall, I am stronger, extremely flexible with parts of my body moving independently now that I never knew had flexibility because I was so locked up. I stand taller and have this feeling of physical wellness and awareness that you can only describe when you get there. It’s like trying to describe what it feels like to drive a really fast sports car around an S-curve….. you can’t until you do it !
In my previous life I spent many years in the cardiovascular device business and became way to familiar with the limits of what physicians can really accomplish.
So, my recommendation to ANYONE that is looking to enhance their overall physical well-being and strength would be to spend some time with Kim and Smoky. It’s been TWO years and I see no reason to discontinue this amazing habit of health.

I have to thank you again! I am still a work in progress but my back feels amazing! Saturday we taught a first aid class that usually wipes me out and leaves my back and leg stiff and irritated, all day I tried to be aware of my hip tilt, breathing etc. I felt great after class. Sunday (sitting usually is the hardest thing on my back) 45min car ride with an hour and half Service and a 45 minute car ride home, I had to continually think about how I was sitting but still felt great last night, the real test was todays Zumba class after two days of things that usually take me out I was wondering how I would feel today, I was very proud of myself for correcting my posture etc, during Zumba. Usually by the time I get home from Zumba my leg and back are starting to freeze up and I have to roll them asap, today no freezing no pain and I feel great!!! What I’m trying to say is you are a miracle worker and I can’t thank you enough. I feel like a new person!

I recently took a class taught by Kim at CDA Power Yoga on the anatomy of stretching and breath work. The class was amazing and provided an incredible wealth of information. Regardless of our (the attending students) level of yoga practice, Kim gave us a knowledge base that is applicable to everyday life, teaching for every form of athletic activity. I have been a yoga student of Kim’s for now 3 years. As always she is brilliant, intelligent and passionate for not only yoga but for the overall health and wellness of her students!!
I am excited to see what the future holds and strongly recommend taking any class that she offers to teach!!

My low back pain is gone, and I sleep so much better. Not only did your assisted stretch sessions help, but also the take home stretch you gave me for my QL. I didn't even know I had a QL before I came to Kim.
