My story...
Almost 30 years ago as I was training professional athletes and working for the Phoenix Suns, I was diagnosed with a degenerative issue in my leg. I was told my athletic lifestyle was over and that my new life would be a pain management program to get through the day. I chose to say "No" to pharmaceutical drugs and a sedentary lifestyle and found a way to keep moving forward. I continue to turn my daily physical challenges into drive and motivation to find a better way to stay active not just for myself, but for all those looking for improved health. I find immense joy in building upon my expertise by learning about all modalities of movement, dissecting them, educating myself, and then utilizing my knowledge, so I can better help my clients.
I focus on functional movement from an anatomical focus and nutrition. My over 35 years of experience with a wide range of individuals from professional athletes to non-athletes, injured to non-injured, and beginner to proficient in their physical modality coupled with my extensive education gives me a unique perspective. I focus on hip and ribcage alignment, foot foundation, and shoulder and neck alignment to build your spinal S-curve and a stronger foundation from head to toe, so you can utilize full respiration and properly activate and integrate your pelvic floor and core muscles. This builds strength through range of motion, so you enjoy improved physical movement and more ease in your daily life!
My yoga style is a blend of my passion for functional movement and anatomy with my yoga roots of At One Yoga. At One Yoga was based in Scottsdale, AZ and influenced by Ian Lopatin (creator of Spiritual Gangster) and has a deep Ashtanga foundation with fun music, creative sequencing, and always an option to get upside down. My yoga training was personally guided by such teachers as Anton Mackey, Jennifer Chiarelli, and John Salisbury among many others.
I am a teacher of teachers specializing in sequencing, alignment, anatomy, and history of yoga. I truly enjoy leading a group in retreats, workshops, and classes, but I find immense fulfillment in helping a person individually in a one-on-one coaching sessions or assisted stretch session. I have a strong passion to improve the life of every person I interact with, and teaching and coaching is my way of giving back to my community.

Masters in International Management from Thunderbird. 200 Hour Teacher Training At One Yoga, Scottsdale.
